The US 1st Infantry Division begins its final offensive toward Mateur. Dug-in German troops await them in the hill country north of the Tine valley.

Parallel roads lead north like two vital arteries. Avoid these open corridors and stick to the ridgelines. Concentrate your forces and fire to dislodge German fortified positions. Infantry will claim the path to Mateur, and few if any tanks can follow.
Axis[ | ]
Use the corrugated ridgelines to set up fields of supporting fire. The enemy will be exposed on their approach, and you can decide how dearly they must pay to come to your doorstep. The stone walls provide excellent fallback positions.
